Terms of Use
The rules for using AIVO Verify to inspect Content Credentials and image provenance.
Effective date: July 19, 2026
Quick note: Verification confirms cryptographic credentials when present. It does not certify that content is true, legal, or free from misuse. Read results alongside the Docs guidance.
Summary
These Terms of Use govern your access to AIVO Verify, a tool for inspecting C2PA Content Credentials and related provenance metadata in still images.
By using AIVO Verify, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Acceptance
You accept these Terms when you visit, upload files to, or otherwise use AIVO Verify. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
The service
AIVO Verify provides tooling to:
- Upload supported image formats (such as JPG, PNG, WebP, and TIFF)
- Detect and parse C2PA Content Credentials when present
- Validate digital signatures and certificate-related information where available
- Display provenance timelines and technical metadata (including C2PA, EXIF, and XMP)
Features may change as the product evolves. Demo or preview deployments may include simulated flows for illustration.
Access & eligibility
You must use AIVO Verify in compliance with applicable laws. You are responsible for the devices, networks, and credentials you use to access the service.
We may suspend or limit access to protect the service, other users, or to comply with legal requirements.
Your uploads
You retain ownership of images you upload. By uploading, you grant AIVO the limited right to process those files solely to provide verification and related product operations.
You represent that you have the rights needed to upload and inspect each file, and that your upload does not violate privacy, intellectual property, or other laws.
Do not upload illegal content, malware, or highly sensitive material to public or demo environments.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse engineer the service except as allowed by law
- Use AIVO Verify to harass, deceive, or harm others
- Circumvent security or access controls
- Misrepresent verification outcomes as guarantees of truthfulness, legality, or editorial accuracy
- Scrape or automate access in ways that impair availability for others
Verification results
AIVO Verify reports on embedded credentials and cryptographic integrity when those signals exist. Results should be read carefully:
- A “Verified” status means Content Credentials appear present and cryptographically valid — not that the image’s subject matter is true or trustworthy
- Missing credentials does not prove an image is AI-generated, fake, or manipulated
- Screenshots, re-exports, unsupported tools, or stripped metadata commonly result in no credentials
You are solely responsible for how you interpret and act on verification results.
Intellectual property
AIVO Verify, including its branding, interface, and documentation, is owned by AIVO or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you rights to copy, modify, or redistribute the product except as needed for normal use.
C2PA and related standards are third-party specifications; trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Disclaimer
AIVO Verify is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that verification will be uninterrupted, error-free, or complete for every file or generator.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AIVO and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the service.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the service in the past twelve months (if any) or one hundred US dollars (USD $100).
Changes
We may update these Terms as AIVO Verify evolves. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are published.
